Thanaporn Wichan, leader form Labor Network for People’s Rights and Peemai Rathwongsa, leader form the laid-off Body Fashion factory. Both joined the October 14 Memorial and marched to the Democracy Monument.
Peemai said Body Fashion’ workers who made lingerie for famous global brands such as Triumph, Huber, Victoria’s Secret, etc. In 2019, Body Fashion factory shut down without notice, laid off thousands of workers including unpaid legally mandated wages and severance pay.They have been fighting for severance pay for more than 5 years. Now they asked for global brands to have a social responsibility, obey the labor law by paying for the factory’s debt to Body Fashion’ workers.
